ROCK THE ROVERS 2: 27 August 2006
The music festival Rock the Rovers returned to Harlem & The Candle Rooms in Kirkcaldy on Sunday 27th August, with over 700 people coming along to support the bands, the Rovers, and to party on down!
Last year's event was organised as part of the 'Reclaim the Rovers' campaign, and this year Quinny and Fife's Finest took on the mantra to raise money as part of the group's contribution to the Forum, as well as donating money to several charities including Epilepsy Scotland, MS Society, Tourette Scotland, Jennifer Brown Trust and Oasi Granata.
And with 20 of the best local bands playing, there was certainly something for everyone, with around 800 tickets sold for the event.

Every single band that took part were absolutely superb and we are delighted with the turnout for each act.
| | Despite the Rovers losing at home the previous day, the Rovers fans were in fine spirit and really rose to the occasion by turning out in numbers, as did the rest of the people of Kirkcaldy to contribute to a terrific day out and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves - some maybe a wee bit too much! |
A massive thanks to all the bands, sponsors, people who attended, the stage crew and of course Marsha and Quinny for all their hard work - it was certainly worth it (for us anyway)!
And thanks to all that hard work, we raised just under £8k on the day!

The highlight of the event, as well as raising considerable money for Raith Rovers, was the phenomenal performance of Joe's band!Rock the Rovers 3 is already being planned for 26th August 2007. Cannae wait!
