QUEEN'S PARK 0 -1 RAITH ROVERS

Back to winning ways on the road, and a much-needed win if only to lift spirits after being dumped out the cup and a crappy couple of results at home.

Mount Florida is bizarre for league games in contrast to Scotland matches. It takes only an hour and a quarter to get through, you can get served in the pub no bother and you don't have to queue to get into Hampden. It does seem strange though, like a ghost town. Getting off the bus and walking to the pub through the deserted streets is a bit like 28 Days Later. And the boozed-up local jakies do look a bit like zombies.

One of the few grounds in the division where we can put our flag up, we were invited by the stewards last time to stand by our flag when we returned. Unfortunately the 5-2 victory to Raith must have changed their minds because one in particular was being an absolute dick and wouldn't answer why 52,000 people are allowed to stand for 90 minutes during Scotland games, but 8 can't for a Rovers match. Typical!

Anyway, a reduced squad of Fife's Finest but noisy as usual from the boys, trying our best to keep the atmosphere - or at least a ghost of an atmosphere - at the empty bowl of a stadium.

McGlynn's team selection was spot-on with Templeton and Carcary playing wide and terrorising the Quieen's Park defence, which led to a deserved opening goal it was Templeton AND NOT CARCARY who scored!

A couple of great chances to go 2-0 up were passed by, with Marv hitting just wide. Second half, after a Hampden steak pie, we didn't attack too much which was maybe down to losing Templeton then Carcary, and Queen's had most of the possesion but didn't really threaten much.

So can't really complain. A good victory to keep spirits high, let's just get our home form sorted!
