FUNDRAISING 2007/08
Our fundraising has been a mix of ongoing and one-off annual events which raise funds to benefit both Raith Rovers and the local community. This season our fundraising has included:
- Sponsorship of 3 Raith player jerseys
- Running a Race Night to raise money for the transfer of David Goodwillie to Raith
- Kit and equipment for local Kirkcaldy youth football teams
- Donation to cancer research in memory of Jim Macmillan
- Donation of signed Rovers jersey to Muirhead Outreach Project
- Helping to run an open day at Stark's Park and pay for entertainment for kids
- Purchasing of 'Help for Heroes' campaign wristbands for our members
- Purchasing £250-worth of Raith shop memorabilia to give away to kids at matches
- Running a 7-a-side tournament for Raith fans in Kirkcaldy
- Xmas treats and toys for kids
- Purchasing video game equipment for local charity 'Aiming Higher Youth Initiative'
- Running 'Rock the Rovers 4' to raise money for Raith Rovers and several local charities
- Running a pool tournament for our members
As a group, our own members have also contributed money and effort to:
- Matchday game sponsorship
- Booking a table at the 200 Club Sportsmans Dinner
- Producing a Rovers fanzine
- Sell raffle tickets for the Rovers
- Help with 125th anniversary celebration events
