200 CLUB SPORTSMANS DINNER
Raith Rovers 200 Club hosted this years annual Sportsman’s Dinner at the Beverage Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy. A fantastic night which raised a considerable amount of money for Raith Rovers, and a great opportunity to get the local community involved.Fife’s Finest were in attendance as usual, seeing as there was drink on the go, booking a full table and donating prizes for the raffle. Luckily Toddy wasn’t with us this year, so we didn’t end up buying a holiday.
With our table last to get served it meant we had more drinking time before eating (eatin’s cheatin!) luckily Rovers were at home the next day seeing as 2 (I won’t mention who) went home early. Thankfully Peden and Smithy had to get up early on Saturday morning to drive down to Liverpool, otherwise the kitty would have been lucky to last 5 minutes!
Current referee Kenny Clark was also a guest speaker (although according to Dundee Utd fans he certainly didn’t look like a referee at Sunday’s cup final) and an impersonator doing his own take on Scottish Football with hilarious results!
Another great effort from the 200 Club, and a significant contribution to the fans fundraising efforts in the process. Well done to all involved and looking forward to next year!
