RACE NIGHT - Friday 8th August 2008
A good turnout to our 2nd ever race night ensured we entered into the new season with a healthy bank balance.
In a change to the usual format of a race night, this year saw us employ the assistance of 'real' horses - well, wooden ones on wheels - which were reeled in by the nominated jockeys.
As well as the horse races, those who attended also enjoyed a game of stand-up bingo for the chance to win Mark Campbell's signed Rovers jersey, and the challenge of throwing money nearest to a bottle of Vodka to win it.
