FIFE'S FINEST 7S 2009

Congratulations to 'The Blue Brazil' for winning the Fife's Finest 7s for the 2nd year running.

Trophies aren't easy to come by on the West Coast of Fife, and our pals from Cowdenbeath have done the first team proud by successfully defending the annual trophy after winning the final on penalties again, after a 0-0 draw with Scottish Scousers.

The tournament involved 15 teams including 2 Fife's Finest teams, 2 Arsenal supporters team (one who flew up from London only hours before kick off!), the Geordie Munrovers, Livi GS, Scots Scousers, Styx, Kitties, the Pars and several other Raith Rovers supporters teams on a day which couldn't make its mind up if it wanted to be sunny or torrential rain.

Of course, next years tournament won't be so easy since Dougie Hill, who starred for The Blue Brazil, now plays for the Rovers and might not be eligible to take part!

Well done to all the lads from Torleys, they must be running out of room behind the bar from all the trophies they've pillaged from Kirkcaldy. Still, better that than our hubcabs eh?
